The first Islamic Unity International Film Festival has concluded in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Saturday, December 17.
The festival’s first edition has presented the best actor award to Ali Nassirian for his role in ‘Saturday's Hunter’ and the best actress award to Golab Adineh for her role in ‘When All Were Asleep’.
The Iranian documentary director Mohammad Reza Islamloo has received the life time achievement award of the festival for creating unifying documentaries.
According to the festival’s report, a total of 919 works have been submitted to the first edition of the event.
The first edition of this festival was held from December 15 to 17 simultaneously with the 30th International Islamic Unity Conference.
The cinematic event, held in Tehran, has hosted feature films, short films and music videos focusing on Islamic unity, the Holy Quran, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Islamophobia.
